Headspare terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Headspare apps and this website. The apps are free to download. On iPhone and Android, showing your own limits needs a plan. The store that sold you the plan handles billing, renewal and refunds. Headspare is not made by, or affiliated with, any AI provider.

Who I am

Headspare is made by Mike Zamayias, an individual developer in Greece. I am the seller of the apps on this site. When this page says “I”, it means me.

Email: support@headspare.app. No phone number and no street address are published here.

By downloading or using Headspare, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. The privacy policy says what the apps read and where it is stored.

The apps

• Mac. The Mac app is a free download outside the App Store. Its menu bar list of your limits is free. Share cards and widgets need a plan.
• iPhone, with Apple Watch. The iPhone app is a free download, and the Watch app comes with it. Sample data is free. Showing your own limits needs a plan.
• Android. The Android app is a free download. Sample data is free. Showing your own limits needs a plan.

I give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use the apps on your own devices for your own use. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the apps, except where the law says you may.

For purchases on the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms add to it.

Plans and prices

In the US App Store and on Google Play, a plan costs:

• Monthly: US$2.49, an auto-renewing subscription.
• Quarterly: US$5.99 every 3 months, an auto-renewing subscription.
• Yearly: US$14.99 a year, an auto-renewing subscription.
• Lifetime: US$44.99, paid once, with no renewal.

In other countries the store sets the price in local currency. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

When available, the Mac app will also be sold on this website, through Polar as merchant of record. The web will sell the yearly and lifetime plans only. Web sales are not live yet.

Your devices

One purchase unlocks Headspare on every device that is paired with the device that bought it, and on every device that uses the same Apple Account. A device on a different Apple Account, not paired, is not unlocked. Family Sharing is off for every plan.

Billing, renewal and cancellation

Whoever sold you the plan handles the payment, the renewal, the cancellation and any refund. That is Apple for the App Store, Google for Google Play, and Polar for the web. I do not receive your payment details.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your store account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You manage and cancel a subscription in your store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Apple: how to cancel a subscription.
• Google Play: how to cancel, pause or change a subscription.
• Web purchases: the receipt email from Polar says how to manage them.

Refunds follow the policy of the seller: Apple, Google or Polar. Ask them. I cannot refund a store purchase.

Right of withdrawal in the EU

If you live in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content that is delivered at once, you agree to that. By starting the download or the unlock straight away, you ask for immediate delivery. You accept that you may lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has begun, as far as the law allows.

Refunds through Apple, Google and Polar follow their own policies.

AI providers

Headspare is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI. Their names belong to them.

Direct sign-in works the way the providers’ own coding tools do. It may be subject to the terms of your plan with that provider. You are responsible for following them. If a provider changes or blocks access, Headspare may stop showing that provider’s limits.

Sign-in tokens stay on the device you signed in on and are sent only to the provider they belong to. The privacy policy has the details.

Limits are estimates

The limits Headspare shows are estimates. They are read from the providers, and they can be wrong or late. I do not promise that a limit will not run out. Check the provider if it matters.

Warranty and liability

Headspare is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, my total liability to you for anything related to Headspare is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law as a consumer, including under EU consumer law. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

I may change these terms. I will post the new version here with a new effective date. If you keep using Headspare after that date, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Greece. This does not remove the consumer protections of the country where you live.
